How to break those nasty habits

Last week I had to hand in 2 assignments one after another and let me just tell you I handed them in on time *thank goodness* but the problem is I hand them in a few hours before the due date. Both were due at midnight but I handed them in at like 4 pm or 5 pm. You may think this is acceptable but to me, it isn’t. Just a bit of background for you guys but I am one of those people who complete assignments in bursts, so one week I would do half of my assignment then not touch it for a week. I consider this an extremely bad habit and am trying to get rid of it but it’s not that easy.

Here are some tips that I am using to try and extinguish my bad habit.

Set goals. I know every teacher tells you to set goals but seriously set a goal like, On Saturday I will complete my rationale.

Do a little bit at a time. Every weekend, every class do a little bit of your assignment and it will be completed like that *snaps fingers*.

My last tip is to take breaks. If you work for say a solid 30 minutes to 1 hour then take a break between 15 - 30 minutes. Personally I watch youtube in my breaks plus get a little snack to get my brain juices flowing, even though I have almost no brain cells. Even as I'm writing this my last 5 brain cells are in a huddle trying to come with ideas on what to write.

Anyways this completes my tips on how to try and get assignments done on time. Here is one last tip. Make sure you actually hand it in. Until next time.
